Individual Therapy
A private, non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world at your own pace. Sessions integrate expressive arts and clinical psychology frameworks, adapted uniquely to you.
Begin your journey →A trauma-informed, relational space to explore, reconnect, and heal through a blend of evidence-based psychotherapies and expressive arts, blending top-down and bottom-up approaches to support the whole person.
At Aatmanveshan, the work sits at the intersection of evidence-based psychotherapy and intermodal expressive arts. Evidence-based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) work alongside bottom-up expressive modalities: movement, image, drama, music, writing and narrative, as well as somatic approaches informed by parts work, to meet each person through whichever pathway best serves their healing. The work is guided by a trauma-informed, queer-affirmative, and relational lens. Safe, non-judgmental spaces are the foundation of every encounter, supporting movement from awareness toward integration and sustainable change.
When words fall short, movement, image, and story step in. These intermodal pathways offer access to emotions, insight, and healing that verbal expression alone cannot reach.
Anvesha Vijay is a Counselling Psychologist, Expressive Arts Therapy Practitioner, and founder of Aatmanveshan: an integrative mental health practice that works at the intersection of psychology, expressive arts, and embodied healing. Her work brings together intermodal expressive arts, trauma-informed care, and relational approaches to support individuals and communities in reconnecting with their inner worlds, creativity, and sense of agency.
A lifelong artist, Anvesha's relationship with the arts spans dance, poetry, expressive writing, and visual art. Her artistic practice informs her therapeutic work, shaping how she understands the body, movement, and creative expression as pathways for healing and transformation.
Over the years, Anvesha has worked across NGOs, educational institutions, corporates, and psychiatric settings, designing and facilitating arts-based mental health programmes. She has worked with organisations including Sukoon Health, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Manah Wellness, Concentrix, and HCL, and with educational institutions including the National Insurance Academy, Ashoka University, Government Girls Colleges, and Blue Bells School.
Alongside her therapeutic practice, Anvesha has developed employee resilience programmes and is currently building a curriculum centred on neurodivergent-affirmative and anti-ableist approaches to therapy. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and intersectional frameworks, drawing from somatic practices and expressive therapies.
Anvesha has been a Global Arts in Medicine Fellow, facilitating sessions at a global level for creative health and community wellbeing. She is one of the festival directors for the Delhi Arts and Health Festival 2026, and has presented her research at national symposiums including with the Indian Association for Dance Movement Therapy.
